Whew, here comes summer, and there it goes... Does anyone remember the SNL skit with John Lovitz when they were trying to pick up chicks? Anyway, this summer is going fast! We haven't had a ton of hot, summer feeling days until recently (sorry for you people in the rest of the country where it's boiling) and then it sort of subsided again. But in that time- we took swim lessons!! Oliver LOVES the pool. It's really no surprise since he crawled into the ocean at nine months, but it's been fun and sometimes alarming to witness. He blows bubbles and kicks and then jumps from my arms and plunges under the water, making me leap to pull him out before he inhales the water- whew!

We also have been to the beach (here it is called the coast lest you think you might lay on the beach) a couple times and to the aquarium! We often go to the zoo, with our snazzy zoo pass. He loves him some polar bears.

He is talking up a storm. My latest fave is
while in his crib I hear through the door "Please open the door, we are finished sleeping together now and we are going to the beach together now" ( I believe the "we" refers to his fox, baby and bear who are all in the crib with him.) Yes, we have a talker. No idea where he gets it from, no idea. He also recently said "I am just a boy and I just came for the butterflies" Oh and he knows that I am "Megan McFadden" and he just cracks up when he says it.
