a visit from Nana and Abuelo

Nana and Abuelo came for a visit and we had so much fun!  We ran 'em ragged :)

Here we are at breakfast at Bob's Redmill...

Cheese!

We had a fabulous time, eating drinking and being merry! Except when we missed nap...or snack...those grandparents sure need their food and rest ;) We also went out to the river and laid on the beach, went down to Coburg antique fair to visit Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Angela, and played at the park! If anymore pictures turn up, I'll post those. I think they might still be recovering, especially with that little baby Emery and big girl Ella to tire them out at home!

summer part dos

Summer came back, again and again!  We had a beautiful summer in the end, with lots of gorgeous weather and hot temperatures. We beat the heat by eating ice cream, going to the beach, and running around the park sprinklers! It was so hot, we are actually ready for fall...

sheww, taking a rest

Speaking of rest! Drumroll please..............he's sleeping!!!!! He is putting himself to bed and sleeping through the night. It is totally amazing.  It used to take us every means possible to get him to sleep and then he would wake sometimes every 15 minutes up to every couple hours, through his second birthday.  I talked to our doctor, no help, and read four different sleep help books cover to cover, which helped some and then would stop working.  I guess the fifth one is a charm?  The last one I got on a whim and it worked! I don't know if he was just ready this time, but dear dinos we were! Catching up on sleep is funny. It's like now I get enough sleep to realize what a stupor I was in and how very tired I am now!

We went to the opening of a historical train museum. This one was running!
