a visit from Nana and Abuelo

Nana and Abuelo came for a visit and we had so much fun! We ran 'em ragged :)

We had a fabulous time, eating drinking and being merry! Except when we missed nap...or snack...those grandparents sure need their food and rest ;) We also went out to the river and laid on the beach, went down to Coburg antique fair to visit Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Angela, and played at the park! If anymore pictures turn up, I'll post those. I think they might still be recovering, especially with that little baby Emery and big girl Ella to tire them out at home!

current faves

animals- 9/12 horses! He loves him some horses, now he even knows some breeds, "that's an apaloosa, mama" 6/12 still a lover of all furry creatures, and scaly, and slimy...5/12 woodland, barn, dinos, sea, you name it!

outside- 9/12 the beach, usually the river beach,going on hukes 6/12 he still loves puddles, but we have less, thank you gods! Now he just wants to run and be on the back of the bike. He is trying his bike little by little. 5/12 he loves him some puddles and arranging rocks and sticks in them

sayings- 9/12 "dabi dabi da"7/12 "I'm grandma's bubby"6/12 "Woah Man!"- he said this for a whole bike ride once, making lists "stars and trees and chips and doggies and..." 5/12"find em," "see em," "walking, walking, walking, jump!," "hello gorgeous" (an aunt angela special) 4/12 "I squished it"- with Nana and Abuelo

songs- 9/12 the clean-up song, who-hoo! and the ladybug she walks along and as she does she sings her song, la, la, la, la....6/12 variations on "la, la" He sing "la, la, penguin, la, la wombat" 5/12 "la,la,la,la,la,la,la,la" (a nana special)

toys- how could I not have mentioned his lego craze? He's got a little lego table in the corner and he was crazy for that thing all winter until just the last month or so. Now jigsaw puzzles, blocks and trains are more popular, all littered with animals of course 6/12 bucket, shovel, still loves outside dirt... we might need a sandbox. 5/12 he just loved the beach in florida! here we make do with some mud outside or the indoor sand pit at omsi

colors- 9/12 he seems to just like all colors now, still bending towards orange 6/12 yes to the orange, a definite fave. sometimes brown, yellow and peach get their time in the sun too. 5/12 orange? he started picking out and saying this color ("orden", the fruit is "oh-no")
